This week, on 6 and 7 October, professionals in the fields of management, IT, HR, finance, cybersecurity, manufacturing, marketing, e-commerce, and business development will meet at the RIGA COMM 2022 Baltic business tech event to learn about and discuss the latest trends in business technology.

Five stages, 10 conferences, and 148 speakers: a record number for the event!

Latest finance industry news

The first day of RIGA COMM 2022 will offer the Fintech conference, on the Wallester Executive stage, where experts from Wallester will present the latest generation of payment solutions for advertising campaigns. Experts and audience members will be welcome to participate in the finance industry discussion about instant payment requests (‘zibprasījums’).

Find the right marketing solution!

Latest digital marketing and campaign planning tools and the opportunities they offer will be the topic of discussion at the digital marketing conference by professionals from Salesforce, GBC Team, LeverUP, Tallink Grupp and other companies taking the Salesforce & GBC Team digital stage.

Smart technologies for company growth

At the machine learning conference, held in cooperation with Intelligent Machines Riga, Finnish specialist Markus Koskela will present the LUMI supercomputer, one of the most powerful computers in the world, while Linards Graumanis, head of the data analytics team at Tet, will tell the audience how the use of machine learning solutions can help a company grow. Smart technologies and how they make everyday life easier will be the topic of the talk by Kārlis Mikoss from Tailwind Technologies.

Tech for efficiency in human resources

At the HR Tech conference, on the TVNET GRUPA Smart stage, CEO of Stebby Kestutis Mackelis will talk about trends in employee well-being, and experts from GuavaHR, Sympa, SigningServices, etc. will share their experience about various HR platforms and their daily use. At the end of the conference, there will be a discussion on smart work and smart technologies with Inta Buša, Toms Bļodnieks, Anastasija Ždanova, and Liesma Rijniece.

B2B marketing workshop

IBD Consulting will organise a B2B marketing workshop, which will take place in parallel with the conferences. The workshop will analyse the role of marketing in a modern B2B organisation with industry experts Andrejs Yuščenko and Rolands Ozoliņš. The second and third part of the conference will cover the topic of making marketing promote business growth with measurable results, and building successful cooperation with sales and other teams.

Cybersecurity as business priority

Meanwhile on the second day of RIGA COMM 2022, cybersecurity professionals from CYBERS, q.beyond, Asus, Stellar Cyber , Pentera, and other companies, will take the Wallester Executive stage to talk about the latest news in the industry, and present various security systems for protecting company data and employees from possible attacks.

E-commerce: digital and social sales

At the e-commerce conference, held on the Salesforce & GBC Team Digital stage in collaboration with Checkout.com, Donatas Gudelis, managing director for the Baltic states and partners at MakesYouLocal, will talk about why online shops should seek international sales. Alise Trautmane-Uzruner, founder of Doors.nyc, will cover the most common mistakes and how to avoid them.

Discover the world of NFTs and Web3

The Web3 conference will be held specifically for fans of Web3, blockchain, and NFTs, with specialists from Baltic companies like AirBaltic, LossLess, Salto X, Alter, ‘300 latvieši’ etc. presenting the current and future opportunities offered by the Metaverse, as well as the advantages of blockchain and projects created for Web3.

Women in technology: still a topical issue

The Women in Tech conference will gather leaders such as Tietoevry EasyFS software development manager Hipa Gustavsone and Accenture human experience and management development manager Liene Atholde, for a discussion on how to encourage more women to join the tech industry and integrate them more successfully in the teams of businesses. The conference is held in conjunction with the Riga TechGirls community.

Get inspired to create content

On 7 October, the TVNET GRUPA Smart stage will have the influencer conference ‘Sijā auzas!’, a meeting place for opinion leaders, influencers, brands representatives and agencies, who will share their experience of creating content, tell stories of their successes and failures, and discuss the fine line between what is acceptable and unacceptable on social media. The working language of the conference is Latvian.

Along with the conferences, there will be a fair taking place across the two days of the event, with 90 companies from 15 countries presenting their tech solutions, cutting-edge features for business tech, and their latest offers. The Alter Networking Area at RIGA COMM 2022 will offer everything the event’s guests will need for distance working.
