Insightful conferences and cutting-edge technologies in October at “RIGA COMM 2018”!

Conferences that provide practical knowledge and inspiration, the latest technologies and innovations, current business and IT solutions will be presented at the only Baltic Business Technology Exhibition and Conference “RIGA COMM 2018” in Ķīpsala on 11 and 12 October.

 

“When forming the agenda of “RIGA COMM”, we were very interested in the needs of our visitors. Since they are so diverse, we are offering 10 conferences for various interests – ranging from marketing, productivity and financial technology to artificial intelligence. For two days, “RIGA COMM” will feature a diverse conference programme on six stages:

 

On 11 October, the Executive Forum on the Executive Stage will gather entrepreneurs, as well as executives of the IT industry and other sectors to discuss the increasing role of information technologies (IT) in the management processes of any organisation. The IOT Conference on 12 October will cover a wide span of topics ranging from connected cars, the DNA of smart city and IOT security to biohacking. “A human body is like a complex computer – having explored one, we can bio-hack and improve it,” one of the conference speakers, Kaspars Vendelis, a co-founder of the biohacking.lv movement, points out.

 

The Citadele Fintech Stage on 11 October will host the first FinTech Conference, that will gather information on advanced financial technologies and tools for businesses and organisations. On 12 October, the Blockchain Conference will bring together stakeholders not only from Latvia but also from abroad, to get the latest information on blockchain technologies, cryptocurrency, etc. Experiences will be shared by Dmitrijs Litkins, the European Crypto Mining Association CRO, the founder of “Crassula” Darja Dubiņina, and other leading Latvian and international experts.

 

The Digital Marketing Stage programme this year has been designed to bring insightful information to both experienced industry professionals and those who have just taken the first steps in the digital marketing world. For example, Arnis Ozols, head of “Httpool Baltics”, will speak on the new digital channels “Spotify”, “Twitch” and “Snapcat”, the founder of “Bootwiser”, Kārlis Skuja – on the use of chatbots in digital marketing, while influential marketing in Latvia will be discussed by Artūrs Mednis, head of “New Black”, influencing relations project manager “Golin Riga” Deniss Ševeļovs and others.

 

Smart machines are already being used and will be used even more! First-day event of the Future Stagethe Machine Learning Practical Application Conference will be about and focused on chatbots, machine learning, and their practical application. The first Practical 3D Conference on 12 October will talk about the implementation of 3D technology in the education, manufacturing and healthcare sectors. One of the speakers – the co-founder and head of the US enterprise “Anatomy Next” Sandis Kondrāts will share their experience in using body simulators in training and healthcare.

 

The concerns about robots and machines depriving people of work have never been greater than at present. Every day, an academic, researcher or technology leader points to the fact that the workforce will become redundant in the world of automation and artificial intelligence. This is exactly what the world-class speakers will discuss at the Cognizant Future of Work Stage on 11-12 October.

 

On 11 October, the Smart HR Conference on the Productivity Stage will focus on topics such as intelligent HR technology in employee management, planning, engagement, training, internal communication, surveys, bonus management, recruitment, analysis, etc. For example, Vladimirs Jelovs, the regional manager of the Baltics at the Estonian company “BEGIN”, will share their as relevant as ever experience in effective employee time management. Whereas how companies should prepare for the digitalisation of business processes, how to assess which business processes and functions should be automated, how to choose the most suitable automation solutions and tools for efficient and transparent process management – detailed information will be found at the Productivity Conference on 12 October.

“RIGA COMM” in two halls!

This year’s exposition will be as extensive as ever before and will be displayed in both exhibition centre halls. Innovative digital business solutions and services, innovative technologies and products, including digital marketing solutions, cloud computing services, IoT and telematics solutions, e-storage services, business consultations, etc. will be presented at the exhibition by more than 180 enterprises from  Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Canada, China, Finland, Taiwan and Turkey. Foreign countries will most widely be represented by China (15 enterprises) and Turkey (12 enterprises). The range of enterprises’ offers will include both optical cables and devices for telecommunications, computer hardware and smart home solutions, etc.

 

Visitors of “RIGA COMM” will also be able to consult with experts and choose the most suitable solutions for their business or organisation.
