Paul has had a successful career in the Telecoms and IT industry for nearly 30 years. Starting his career in Telecoms with BT in the late 80s in the cellular market he then moved on to work in both the hardware and software industry working for Industry leaders such as Nortel Networks, Alcatel Lucent, ZTE, Ipanema and then joined Actility in March 2015 at an exciting point in the company’s growth from both an Energy and IoT perspective.
His work in the IoT market started back many years ago with Cellular M2M but LPWA is now a key driver in his role in Actility helping to create solutions for various market segments utilising the technology and expertise Actility has in M2M and IoT solutions. He has been working on IT over 20 years. Multiple positions in service provider side (e.g. Tieto, Wipro) and in several software and hardware companies (e.g. HP, Symantec, Veritas). Work experience from consolidation and outsourcing projects as well as experience from transitions of enterprise customers, containing holistic view to a customer environment, gives excellent background for understanding the big picture of the GDPR, be it security, data management, application modernization or transformations.
Akshay has been engaged with Cisco since 2015 as a Product Manager. He was initially based out of San Jose, California, but has recently moved to London. Akshay has donned multiple hats working with Enterprises and has broad experience in using network infrastructure as a gateway to IoT devices. In the course of last year, he managed the Catalyst Digital Building Series switch and its integration with Cisco’s new initiative – the Intuitive Network. Akshay completed his business education from UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and was previously established in the areas of Customer Insights at Nokia Networks, and also environmental social enterprises while he was in India.
